My name is Molly Skirha and I am very excited to continue to serve the students and families of Nelson Middle School. I have been an educator for the past 16 years. My roles have included elementary teaching, middle school teaching, Positive Behavior Intervention Support campus coach and counselor.
In my opinion relationships are the key to success! I am eager to continue building relationships with the students, families, staff, and community of Nelson Middle School. I am committed to working with students and their families to help them reach their academic, social/emotional, and career goals.
While not at work I love spending time with my husband and our two young children. Together we enjoy traveling, riding bikes, movie nights, and taking our puppy for walks. I also find peace and balance through my yoga practice.

What does a school counselor do?
The purpose of the school guidance program is to promote and to enhance the learning process. School counselors work closely with administrators, teachers, parents, and the community to support the FISD mission and accomplish goals with focus on three strands of guidance: academic success, college/career information, and personal/social development.
